Cat Power cover (original Cat Stevens) by Youtube user Octave121 - How Can I Tell You that I Love You

this is another staple outfit of mine, based entirely on my three most favourite colours in the world - cranberry, forest green and navy! i know these make a peculiar little trio but i gloss over the fact that they might not work together with my sheer adoration for these wonderful shades!

this AA skirt i've worn to absolute DEATH - i wear it during the day with leotards/vest tops/teeshirts, and at night with pin-up style crop tops/bralets/more risque leotards. the elasticated waist means that it actually fits my small waist and it's extendable properties make it fitting (literally, ohoho!) for a lunchtime nandos <3!

my cranberry coloured cardigan is a relatively new purchase, and it's lovely and long - i like my cardigans to flirt with the back of my knees, almost! the leotard you've seen before, worn here with my all time favourite skirt (which really actually, ties in first place with the one below. oooh i am so fickle).

(i liked this ^ photo because my hair looks like chestnut-brown fluffy clouds)

leotard top - AA/skirt - AA/cardigan - New Look/rings - assorted/nail varnish - Topshop's India Rose/necklace - borrowed

what do you think of such simple, colour block outfits? boring or timeless?

Your Song -
Ellie Goulding (covering Elton John)

new look is not normally my shop of choice, but they have always had absolutely GORGEOUS shoes (aptly emblazoned with "gorgeous"). i wandered in a few days ago and saw the most darling pair of shoes, with these esquisite little bows and i knew they had to be mine. they're super comfortable, despite their ginormous heel. i love the bow and cork detailing and they were only £25, which is completely bargainous.

such perfect summer shoes!

Heart-Shaped Box, Nirvana

so i've very much been M.I.A, and i do apologise. things are changing so quickly and rapidly, that everything and everyone are merging into technicoloured swirls and spirals that it's leaving me rather confused and simaltaneously wanting to go backwards AND forwards.

as spring begins to flirt with summer and the days are longer and SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNER - heads hurt and hearts hurt. no fun at all!

so instead (because superficiality cures all), i'm going to focus my energies on building up stacks of silver and turquoise jewellery, starting with this pretty little piece from new look, which was only £9.99. i also bought a summery pink dress from new look, only, shamefully, it was an age 12 dress from the kiddie section as i am vertically challenged and generally rather small.

i suspect my collection could be given a quick boost with Alice's giveway, where you can win two pieces of jewellery from Regal Rose! I've already picked out this AMAZING skull ring, which if i don't win, i'm going get anyway cause it's so freakin' cool.

ps. sorry for the crappy webcam pictures, my brother has taken my usual camera to south africa where is busy playing with BABY LIONS AND THE LIKE. here are some pictures for you to squee over, all taken by him!
